Dumb question (obviously I don't expect everyone to explain what everything is) but what is Ever Note?

One great thing about being single is that I can cook a ton of food late at night and no one can stop me.  One terrible thing about being single is that I can cook a ton of food late at night and no one can stop me.

seeing the first new episode of Beavis & Butthead in 15 years was a magical experience.
the show has lost none of its original touch, although beavis' voice isnt quite as high as it used to be.

would you consider going to an optometrist named Rod Zincones?

Have you guys seen Jackie Chan's new V8 commercials?  The use of wires and special effects is pretty obvious, but in at least one of the commercials it looks as though he's also using a stunt double.  I don't think that Jackie Chan is the guy falling onto the awning.

This seems to confirm the use of a stunt double in another of these commercials.  I find it depressing that a celebrity who rose to fame as a stunt performer is doing commercials with a stunt double.

I saw it. Not a great episode, compared to their heyday, but really good as a "they're BAACCKKK!!!" kind of episode. Oh yeah, and it's probably the best thing MTV has shown in over a decade.

They NEED to bring back the music videos though. The talking segments are really snooze-worthy now.

Po-Zest

You know, I love my father... but he's an asshole. I'm getting pretty tired of him using my car without permission. Actually, I could care less about him using and not asking for it, I'd just like him to, oh I don't know, maybe put a gallon of gas in the thing when it's low so I don't end up riding to work on fumes. I didn't find that particularly thrilling....

Then why don't you tell him so?

That's gotta be the third or fourth time you've brought that up in these forums.

I'm largely ambiguous about my father, having really only met him twice in my life.

My stepdad was a piece of work, though. A complete saint of a man, slow to anger and wise beyond his years. In short, everything I lack.

Second time, if I'm not mistaken.  And hey, the truth demands reiterating every now and again.

You're right.
The joke could've worked if it was a metal plate, though.

By Yotsuya (Nov 17, 2011) (#718)

I think 'my name will be forever varnished' is pretty funny- or 'punny' tongue

<first draft>

one of the most secluded peoples in the world has been the Yuri tribe of Siberia.
Until this year very few have ventured out of their native homeland.
however the need to embrace modern technology for long-term survival is slowly forcing them to transition to a more public Yuri nation

Dee Snider just opened a Chinese restaurant that happens to be dine-in only.
It's called We're Not Gonna Take-out

This one is kind of old:

Q: How much blow can Charlie Sheen do?
A: Enough to kill two and a half men.
