anybody know if Gradius Gaiden will be fully included and if they will remaster all soundtracks? i expect them to nix all arranged tracks at the very least.

The konamistyle website has a breakdown of games on each disc. Hope that helps! I haven't really looked at it, so I can't answer your question up front.

Well, I think Gradius Gaiden is on Disc 2 and it features 22 tracks? So it's almost complete going by the OST page on VGMdb...
Looks like there are also 16 Bonus tracks so many some new arrangements? I'm not sure...
Seems to be グラディウス外伝 on the Gradius Gaiden OST page and that shows up as the first half of Disc 2 for this collection. As for the remastering, I'm not sure.

It's not Sega. But Konami. So no need for anticipating a good box.
(btw, it's just that Sega is so awesome, since I hear Team Entertainment's IREM collection also sucks)

The day Sega releases a Classic Sonic VGM box is the day that I will buy a Sega box set. (Not saying that Konami is better, etc., but come on, Sega, seriously...do it for your fans!!!!)

the Castlevania box might have sucked, but i hope they've learned their lesson by now. i'll be sad if the Suikoden set sucks too.
the upcoming Castlvania arrange discs might be some form of apology ![]()

Y'know what, I hope Gradius Collection is great but to tell you the truth I'm pretty satisfied by Arcade, Gaiden, V, and Rebirth releases. It will still be convenient to get everything in one fell swoop.
I think this one really deserves some attention though.

If it has full Delta and Final I am sold!

This; although I hope they do not just copy-paste delta and final and neglect the others as we got complete releases already. Give me full 3rd lightning and LEO plus looped SFX-free of 1&2, please!

Just ordered my copy. I used to play Gradius back on NES obsessively. One of my favorite shooters of all time.

Wasn't the R-Type Delta OST just a rip from the game disc? I would listen to it and wonder why the boss themes were so long and the volume was so low, then I ripped the audio with XA Play or PSm play and it was identical to the OST. Delta needs to be remastered!

Does anyone know any convenient places I can order this? I emailed Kahori using her webform but she hasn't responded.

Only one I know. I'm passing on it until I can find a cheaper price though ![]()

In my experience, her average response time is 2-3 weeks. That's my only gripe about doing business with her. Outside of that, she's great.

any reviews out yet? i want to know everything.

I've had way better turn around on responses to questions on special orders before, just not this time. Granted, I did email right before that stupid 3 week Japanese "we don't work" holiday thing they have, but whatever. I ordered from Otaku, Alex has always been reliable the few times I've ordered from there, just typically slightly more expensive. It probably ends up being about the same price since Otaku's shipping is 9$ and vgmworld's is upwards of 20$.
I'm okay with it.
Now to find out if she is going to carry the Suikoden box since I'm gonna assume that's konamistyle as well. ![]()

Konami has a new 10 Disc Boxset announced, as a followup:
KONAMI SHOOTING COLLECTION
http://www.konamistyle.jp/sp/shooting_c … html#music
It will contain the non-gradius shooters like Axelay, XEXEX, AJAX, Thunder Cross, Space Manbow, Twinbee, Salamander, etc..
By Pellasos (Jun 20, 2011) (#23)
this makes me happy ![]()
By Smeg (Jun 20, 2011) (#24)
That is one metric crapload of Twinbee music.
