Wii Fit and Other Non-Game Music CD on Club Nintendo

Haha, I actually like the shopping theme...

In all honesty, I actually want to hear this CD.  I was really interested to hear Minegishi's music after he talked it up on the Wii Fit "Iwata Asks" interviews.  He said he went for live, warm sounds, etc.  And most of the menu and channel themes are pretty catchy, so yeah, musically, this will be cool, but it's just such a slap in the face to the hardcore gamers.

It's like, who buys this stuff?  It's not mainstream gamers for sure.  They don't care about game music, even if they like "casual" games.  We're the ones that buy it, so if they're going to put the effort in, give us what we want.

And for general Nintendo fans as well. Instead of a full Mario Sunshine OST, or a Zelda: TP OST, or a Metroid Prime 2/3 OST, etc, etc, etc - they give us this. I'll probably end up hunting one down for the sake of hunting one down, but I'm sure this won't even be close to making up for all the OST releases Nintendo has dropped the ball on over the past several years.

True, but as long as you don't over estimate demand and over produce something it shouldn't be a problem.

I can't decide if that website is making fun of hardcore gamers (and the Mario/Zelda thing) or if they're actually serious.

wouldn’t you guys rather see the stuff that Club Nintendo was doing before? Like the Peach Healing Music or Koopa Loud Music albums? I know I would!

Yeah, how about no? Those albums sucked bad.

(Again, I guess this could be sarcasm on the part of the blogger.)

I'm disappointed by Nintendo. Zelda TP was a great game in my opinion, and had some great tracks! I don't even want a complete soundtrack, but at least one CD with the highlights... I mean, how hard is that for Nintendo? Not to mention so many other games that come to mind (SM Sunshine, Fire Emblem, etc)...

At least Nintendo is giving us games. That's more than can be said for Sega. I still haven't forgiven them for not releasing the Phantasy Star remakes on the PS2 (I'm quite convinced Sega is actually run by infiltrators who's only purpose is to destroy the company... and they seem to be doing a good job)! When was the last time Sega released a good game?

Huh??  Interchangeable?  Non-games would be things like work and sleep, games are things that have controllers.

Anyone know what Pigeon’s Nest is? It'd be nice to be able to attribute a composer / arranger to it.

I just like the headline of the article. ^_~ True, I think Wii Fit's music is nice (when I actually do think about its music), but not enough to want it on CD.

And soundtracks still need to be released for Legend of Zelda ~ Twilight Princess and Fire Emblem ~ Radiant Dawn; otherwise Nintendo ought to go f--- themselves. Or maybe stop putting such good music in their games if they're not going to respect it.

Well I did hear that there is a new Fire Emblem OST coming out later this year from Aniplex (a DS one, to be exact).  Not that it means anything, but hopefully it'll mean a change of direction in the future.  (Not getting my hopes up though.)
