I was watching the old FFXIII trailer, as I tend to do whenever I get bored in an office.
Can we all just say, in agreement, that Hamauzu is awesome and that this music is genius?
Out of curiosity, what do you think are the chances that the thirteen new tracks found in Vielen Dank are arrangements of songs that will wind up in Final Fantasy XIII?

I doubt that the first 11 tracks, "Im Abenteurgarten," would make FFXIII. They were clearly a solo project, and probably have some meaning to them for Hamauzu that perhaps he wouldn't even *want* associated with the game. HOWEVER...
22 - Eisblauer Himmel (Ice-Blue Sky)
23 - Die Wahrheit (The Truth)
These songs are stuck right in the *middle* of the album's 2nd half, which are songs taken from games. The likelihood that these two songs will end up in XIII, IMO, is very high. I guessed as much in my review, but the more I think about it, the more I suspect it will be the case.
Whatever the case, I love Hamauzu. Though I had hoped for more w/ Vielen Dank than I had gotten, I cannot stop adoring his style. I will probably have some sort of spiritual "peak experience" when I first hear the FFXIII OST.
Interesting, now that you mention it, to draw that distinction between the "Im Abenteurgarten" series and the two orphan tracks that show up later, Ramza. I enjoyed your review, and appreciate your including the information pertaining to the performers.
