Capcom announced a new action shooter called EX Troppers in Famitsu, the game will be coming to both 3DS and PS3, and the producer is Shintaro Kojima (Monster Hunter series). The game will take place in the same world as Lost Planet, but EX Troopers will have anime style visual, and the protagonist is a high school girl.

Honestly, I find this kind of aesthetic about a billion times more appealing than the original Lost Planet games, and I'm not an anime fan in general.
lol @ the protagonist being a high school girl, though.

Capcom apparently announced that E.X Troopers will feature a multiplayer mode. Details are fairly scarce regarding the multiplayer component of the game, although it was shown to attendees at the company’s Game Jam event last night. Capcom also released a brand new trailer for the game which you can view here.
