Some of you liked the audio journal concept that I established with Metroid Prime 3, so I wanted to do the same with Super Mario Galaxy.  As I say in the article, I wanted to do two entries (and I still might), but I was so hooked that I couldn't stop myself half way through.  The fact of the matter is that a lot of music is being reused at this point, but I may go back and describe some of the music I couldn't fit into this entry.  Let me know what you guys think!

nice article, thanks for noting the remixes as well as the new compositions. I must heard the airship remix soon! It's about time that was redone.

Nice write up.  Too bad the SMB3 airship theme is the only old-school track given the orchestra treatment though.

Yeah.  There is a gamey SMB 1-1 remix later in the game that I'll mention if I write another article.  Nothing special.  You know, I should have done an article for Super Paper Mario, as it had some great music!

As far as samples, check the "Super Mario Galaxy Clips," as I posted the airship tune.
