MegaMan Network Transmission

By Nick G (Jan 09, 2006)

Has anyone else experienced the brilliance of this game's soundtrack? I just checked out the game's ending which I taped a few years ago when I beat it and had to smack myself in the forehead when I saw that Shinji Hosoe and Ayako Saso were 2 of the 3 composers (Aihara was not in the credits). It seems so obvious now since over the past year I've been checking out various albums they've worked on and loved with every one of them. Can they do no wrong?

How is it that this soundtrack has had no album release? I've had to settle with the Rockman EXE Transmission mp3s that I downloaded from Planet MegaMan for the past few years. They were well recorded and everything but enough is enough! Is there any chance of an album release? At this point I'm doubtful :(

I haven't heard it, but if Saso and Hosoe worked on it I'm sure it's highly above average. I'll have to check out some MP3s and have a listen.

As for the OST release, I doubt it, but you never know. If Capcom has the rights and they don't want to release the OST then we're all out of luck; if Supersweep has the rights it will probably be released sometime (Hosoe releases almost all of his in-game work).

Yeah, Supersweep was written by each of their names so I'd figure that would be the label to publish it but I don't know who has the rights. You'd think they would've been all over it by now!

It's an excellent soundtrack indeed

If you like their infectously good sound, Rockman EXE Transmission is one of their finest soundtracks yet. I found the music to be very melodic and bouncy. Just about every stage theme is as classic as the classic Rockman themes.

Just curious... you mentioned 2 of the 3 composers... I've been wondering who worked on the game even though I saw Saso and Hosoe credited for the game on their website.

Yousuke Yasui ...

I'm unfamiliar with his work but it's definitely worth a look into.

DDP/ESP -perfect remix-

All I've heard from him is the work on the Dodonpachi / ESPGaluda split, and it's great. Gotta love Supersweep, man.

Nice to see somebody else likes this soundtrack too! Especially after reading so many negative posts about it on this board..

My favorite tracks are the ones by Yousuke Yasui [boss music, zero battle, electricman, ending].
Has he ever done more than 2 or 3 tracks in a game? Before he started with SuperSweep, he had his own website at you-z.com and the demo songs he had up for download were just amazing.

Elecman's theme is my favorite! Did you find out which tracks he composed through his website? I need to check that out!
