Kahori has limited stocks of the two Gyakuten Saiban albums as well as the Famicom Game Sound Museum Candy Box Singles.

Suleputer can be a beyotch sometimes

>Kahori has limited stocks of the two Gyakuten Saiban albums as well as the Famicom Game Sound Museum Candy Box Singles.

...apparently there was much difficulty in trying to offer the Gyakuten Saiban albums for sale, and the description on the site mentions a 3rd print run already...

Sure it's fine if Suleputer wants to have 'limited editions' of their albums, but when an album is proving to have good sales and be popular, then why continue to make such small quantities and have to deal with constant shortages...

Manufactured rarity

= mucho profit. They're just playing the field and people are eating it up and giving them the money.

people can't buy what's not there

>= mucho profit. They're just playing the field and people are eating it up and giving them the money.

I don't see how Suleputer could get any mucho profits from auctions that get bid up to sky-high amounts, instead of direct purchasing through a store...

Sure a few people are spending MORE money than average to get the fewer quantities from auctions, but that money goes to the personal sellers.

When a lower amount of people are able to get it, there is lost profit from the greater total quantity of potential buyers.

I don't see how trying to purposely 'manufacture a shortage' would earn Suleputer any additional money as a company.

(Unless I missed that section back in economics class...)

Well, well

Those Gyakuten Saiban albums seem to be commanding mad money on Y!J. And Kahori's all sold out of them now.

As for the Famicom single disc thingy, is there any advantage to getting that if I already have the Famicom 20th Anniversary Game Music DVD? Other than the candy, I mean.

By Carl (May 03, 2004)

I'm 99% sure it's the exact same contents.

1% kicks you in the butt

There are Famicom 20th exclusives as well as the mini cd exclusives

As far as I remember, without re-re-researching it

The mini-cds have:

Light Gun Trilogy (Duck Hunt, HOgans Alley, something else)
Excite-Bike
Excite Bike Jr.
Ice Hockey
Baseball
Some other sports games
The Gyro games (That robot dude)
Super Mario USA (Super Mario 2)

These are all not on any of the famicom 20th.

The rest however are on Famicom 20th Anniversay Vol.1, and discs 18 and 19 (Shin Onigashima) are on Vol. 2.

More like 5%

On the Famicom 20th Anniversary DVD (note: not the CDs), they do have the light gun games (Duck Hunt, Wild Gunman, Hogan's Alley), Super Mario USA, the gyro games, Shin Onigashima and the sports games. However, it is missing Excitebike.

Excitebike is also on 'Famicom Music' (SCDC-00145)

...but it doesn't have Excitebike Jr. like the mini CD does. By the way, CocoeBiz still has both volumes of the 'Famicom Music' series in stock.
